Myrna Mae Carter, born to Ethel (Larsen) and Charles McGraw on May 4, 1938 in Saginaw, MI, passed away July 31, 2021 in Broomfield, CO.  She was a 1956 graduate of Midland High School and spent most of her life in Saginaw while traveling frequently to Midland, MI for family visits.

The beloved wife of David M. Carter, their young courtship and enduring 63 year marriage began after she invited him to a Sadie Hawkins dance on a dare at a girls’ pajama party.  She was the proud and loving mother of Christopher (Kathryn) and Steven (Heidi) Carter; cherished grandmother of Duncan and Ally Carter; dear sister of Maxine (Don) Hunter, Ann (late Whitney) Bourne, Meryl (Ken) Cliff, Mary Beth McGraw, and sister-in-law to Patricia Sirrine (Worden).  Myrna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark McGraw.

She celebrated life by spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends while boating, traveling and relaxing in the woods and on the lakes of northern Michigan. Myrna also enjoyed reading and being with friends and family during 20 plus years of retirement in Melbourne Beach, Florida.  Those wishing to honor Myrna’s life should consider a donation to The Salvation Army in lieu of sending flowers.
