Nellie Marie (James) Todd, age 87, of Wray, Colorado passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at her home.
Nellie was born on December 23, 1934 in Irons, Michigan to Ray Russell and Mary Anita James.
After graduating from Norman Dickson High School in Brethren, Michigan, Nellie joined the US Army where she served until getting married. To this union eight children were born: Elmer Jason, Jr., Evelyn Janette, Edward James, Edwin Joseph, Elaine Joyce, Edna JoAnn, Eric John and Emily Jill.
Nellie worked several jobs in her younger years, but found her lifelong career to be working as a Dietary Manager. Nellie worked at Lincoln Community District Hospital/Nursing Home in Hugo, Colorado and at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado for over 30 years collectively. She then went on to work in the dietary department at Hillcrest Care Center in Wray, Colorado for several years before retiring.
Nellie is survived by, her sister, Shirley (James) Bidwell, brother-in-law, Lyle Bidwell, seven children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, infant son, granddaughter and several brothers and sisters.
Nellie will be laid to rest at Fernwood Cemetery in Dublin, Michigan.
