We regretfully announce the passing of Pablita Gloria Winters (Tovar), 76, of Loveland, Colorado. Gloria passed away on Thursday October 26, 2023 at 12:43 PM.
Gloria was born to April 27, 1947 to Pedro “Pete” and Mary Carrera in Johnstown, Colorado.
Gloria grew up on a farm in the Johnstown / Loveland area and attended school in Loveland. She graduated High School in 1966 and later attended Aims Community College and the University of Northern Colorado. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Gerontology in 1996.
Gloria worked as an activity coordinator and CNA at Bonell Good Samaritan Society in Greeley, Colorado from 1996 until she retired in 2018.
She enjoyed visiting grandchildren and great grandchildren, drives in the mountains, visiting and walking around Estes Park and visiting with friends and extended family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to music, and rooting for every sports team. She attended Foundations Church in Loveland and Flatirons Church in Lafayette. She was a Believer and those that knew her felt her love, kindness and Joy. She was a soul toucher.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Robert Carrera, her late husband Edwin Winters, and the love of her life, fiancé Jacob “Jake” Espinosa.
She is survived by her sisters Helen Gonzales, Irene Wilson, Linda Martinez, her brother Richard Carrera; son Jay Tovar and grandchildren Michael McCune, John Wood, Eric Whittmore, McKenzie (Josh) Webster, Kara Tovar, Dominic Tovar; son Mark Tovar and grandchildren Marisa (Caleb) Ball, Kortney (Mike) Zapp, Allyson Tovar; and son Gilbert Tovar and grandchild Reyna Tovar; and great grandchildren Adalee Ball, Elijah Ball, James Zapp and Jacob Zapp.
A visitation will be held at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado on Wednesday November 1 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM followed by a Rosary. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Foundations Church in Loveland, Colorado on Thursday November 2 from 11:00 – 12:00 PM.
