APRIL 30, 1934 – AUGUST 28, 2022

Patricia Elizabeth “Pat” Lytton, 88, of Loveland, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She was born on April 30, 1934, in Strasburg, Virginia to Eva Virginia Golliday and Frank Golliday.

Shortly after graduating from Strasburg High School as Senior Class President in 1952, Pat married and raised a family. As part of a military family, she lived in multiple states and countries including Nevada, the Philippines, South Dakota, Kansas and Arkansas. In 1976, she and her family settled in Loveland, Colorado. She was a life-long athlete and enjoyed playing as a pitcher in local women’s recreational slow-pitch softball leagues and bowling in Loveland leagues. She continued bowling into her 80s and enjoyed the competition and camaraderie of the local leagues.

Pat was a full-time homemaker and mother when her three daughters were younger. Always self-reliant, she was a strong woman who raised strong daughters. Later, she worked for 20 years for the Thompson School District as a para on special education buses. Retiring in 2000, she helped take care of grandchildren. Pat also served as a volunteer for 30 years at the Loveland Public Library.

Pat attended and served in several local churches. Upon first moving to Loveland, Pat attended Grace Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school. Later in life, she participated in services at LifeSpring Covenant Church. Her faith sustained her through many challenges in her life.

She is survived by her longtime companion Austin Freeman, Loveland; daughter, Louann Lambert and husband David Weherenberg, Maryland; daughter, Lisa Helme and husband John, Vermont; daughter, Lori Gentrup and husband Matt, Colorado; grandchildren, Jenny Stewart, Tracy Fletcher, Kristen Dodder, John C. Helme, Braden Helme, Jacob Gentrup, Megan Mihaly, Kate Gentrup, seven great grandchildren and sister Anna Campos. She has been reunited in heaven with her mother, Eva Golliday.
