Patricia Kaye Becker was born in Denver on December 12, 1950, to Jack and Ruth Fletcher.  Pattie went home to be with her Lord on January 10, 2024, in Parker with her son at her side.  Pattie was a happy child growing up in the country with her sisters and brothers.  They worked hard, but they always took a family fishing trip to the mountains every summer.  She grew up enjoying school and church activities, but really loved her 4-H activities and projects- especially showing cattle.  Pattie graduated from Kiowa High School in 1968.  She then attended Blair Business College majoring in accounting.

On Oct 10, 1970, Pattie married Dick Becker.  Dick had just returned from Vietnam and once he was discharged from the Army, they moved back to the ranch west of Agate where Pattie grew up.  Dick and Pattie were a happy couple, working together and going everywhere together.  They were married 45 years at time of Dick’s sudden, unexpected death on November 5, 2015.  Dick and Pattie had one son, Tim on August 15th, 1978.  Tim was absolutely their pride and joy!  They enjoyed all his school activities and sports, but 4-H activities and projects were definitely the highlight.  Showing cattle at local, state, and national events was certainly something they enjoyed as a family.  They all made lifelong friends along the way.   They also tried to keep up the family traditions with fishing trips to the mountains when they could.

Pattie boasted of four generations of Elbert County 4-H.  Her grandmother was a leader in 1941, her dad was a member and leader, Pattie was a member, Dick was a leader and Tim was a member.

Pattie always enjoyed helping with the cattle, cooking meals for branding cows, gardening, especially her love for flowers, but she also really enjoyed her off-the-farm job.  Pattie enjoyed the people and her job reflected that.  She worked 8 years at the Kiowa State Bank, leaving work before Tim was born.  When Tim started school, Pattie started working at the Kiowa School as a school secretary.  She loved this job!  She enjoyed the work, but she especially enjoyed the people, the students, co-workers, and parents.  She worked at Kiowa School for 38 years then she retired.

In her recent years, she delighted in her two granddaughters. They brought so much joy into her life.

Pattie is survived by her son, Tim, and wife Monica, two granddaughters Tenley and Maesa Becker; sister Dorothy Jean Demaree; brother Donald Rector; brother-in-law Robert Woodis; sister-in-law Joyce Vetter and husband Dennis; brother-in-law Duane Becker and wife Cheryl; brother-in-law Marvin Becker and wife Janice; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pattie is preceded in death by husband, Dick Becker; parents Jack and Ruth Fletcher;  sister  Barbara Fletcher Woodis; sister-in-law Lois Bradly Rector; sister-in-law Eilene Crandal; and brother-in-law Lawerence Becker.
