June 22, 1950 ~ October 29, 2020 (age 70)
Patricia passed away peacefully in Boulder, CO on October 29th 2020 with family by her side.
An adventurous spirt, she traveled the world spending time in Russia (fluent speaker), Europe, South America and Asia (to name a few) with loving husband Rick Hinrichs. When not traveling, she enjoyed spending time in her gardens (active garden club member), enjoying nature, and shopping with her daughter Amber. Always the inquiring mind, she was an avid reader and worked most of her career as a scientific writer for the renewable energy field. She taught English at CU Boulder as well as English as a Second Language classes.
Patti was born on June 22, 1950 in Tacoma, Washington to Patricia and Fred Weis. She is survived by her loving husband Rick Hinrichs (Boulder, CO); mother Patricia Weis (Tacoma, WA); brother Paul Weis (Tacoma, WA); children Alex Taylor (Olympia, WA) and Amber Taylor (Boulder, CO); and grandchildren Oscar and Toby Levesque-Taylor (Olympia, WA).
Patti was a lover of animals both domestic and wild, therefore in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Grillo Health Center.
Due to COVID-19 the family is considering a Celebration of Life in the spring and private burial in Mountain View Cemetery (Tacoma, WA).
