Pat Topps died peacefully at her home in Monument, in hospice care, on January 31, 2021. She was 74. Pat was born on June 5, 1946 in Patterson, New Jersey. She spent her childhood in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, and met her life-long love, Bill in high school there. They were married in 1964, and spent their entire lives together, married over 53 years before Bill's passing in 2017. In the mid-1970s, Pat and Bill decided to leave New Jersey and head "out west" to start a new adventure, eventually settling in Broomfield, Colorado. Pat worked for the Marriott Corporation, Sil Terhar Ford as a warranty manager, and John Elway Motors in the office before retiring in 2005. Pat is survived by her two children, Ed Topps (and his wife Monica) of Monument, Colorado, and Barbara Pierce of Broomfield, Colorado. She is also survived by her two siblings: her younger brother David VanDerlyn of Westminster and his twin sister Dawn DeHope of Florida and their families. She received much joy from her beloved grandchildren: John, Megan, Joel, Allison, and Reagan, as well as her only great-grandson, Henry. Family and friends will remember Pat for her sharp wit, crazy contagious laugh, love of family, and penchant for collectables. Her love and concern for all of our family will keep us pushing forward. A remembrance time to celebrate the great life of this wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandma, and Great Grandma, as well as for Bill Topps, will be held at the Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield on February 9 that 2pm.
