It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Rhonda S. Kamas (Susie). She was born in Denver on September 25, 1964 to Clarence and Mary Lou Cook, and grew up in Boulder, Colorado.
In her early years in Boulder, she enjoyed being part of the rodeo community, where she eventually met her high school sweetheart Rob Kamas. They were married on January 13 1984, and welcomed their daughter Tiffany (Hebert) on January 17 1984. On March 26, 1990 they welcomed their son Justin (Kamas). She was a stay-at-home mother, and loved spending time with her children. Her greatest love in life was her grandchildren Stephen Hebert and Kase Kamas.
Through 40 plus years of marriage through thick and thin, Rob and Susie’s love continued to flourish. They spoke fondly and adored each other’s company, sharing life together every day, especially during their end of day kitchen conversations.
Susie was a mother figure to those that didn’t have one, and to everyone she cared about. She was a die hard and avid Denver Bronco fan through and through. Her laugh was infectious, and her selflessness was unrivaled. She was the glue to the family, and her ability to love those she cared about was her greatest strength and joy.
She never met a stranger, able to make conversation with anyone. There are not enough words to explain the remarkable woman she was, an example only shown by the immense amount of people who loved her.
Her legacy and memories will live on through her husband Robert Kamas, mother Mary Lou Cook, daughter Tiffany Hebert and husband Russ, son Justin Kamas and wife Erin, two grandson’s Stephen Hebert and Kase Kamas, and every other person that considered her mom and a friend.
A visitation will take place from 3-5:00 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2023 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. A Celebration of Rhonda’s life will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
