Beloved Husband, Father and Brother Robert John Rubel, 82, of Loveland, passed away November 7, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 13 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4650 Sunview Drive, Loveland, Colorado 80538, Pastor Glen Schlecht will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran School Scholarship fund via Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Mr. Rubel was born March 3, 1939, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Leo and Lora (Carter) Rubel. He attended Greely High School in Greeley, Colorado. He continued his education at Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska, graduating in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in education. He went on to complete his education at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 1969 with a master’s degree in mathematics.
On June 4, 1961 he married Joanne Barbara Kohtz in Madison, Nebraska. Robert loved singing in choirs from grade school until his passing. He also enjoyed camping and fishing along with traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Rubel is survived by his wife Joanne Rubel of Loveland; his two sons, Gregory Rubel and his wife Maryval (Kleisner) of McKinney, Texas, Douglas Rubel and his wife Angela (Moody) of Canton, Georgia; his daughter Vicki Rubel of Brookhaven, Georgia; brother and his spouse, Paul Rubel and Kay (Witt); and three grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lora, and his sister JoAnne (Rubel) Einspahr.
