JULY 27, 1944 – AUGUST 7, 2021
Ronald Eugene Niswender, age 77, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was born on July 27th, 1944 to Gilbert Roland Niswender and Bernice Evangeline (Gloshen) Niswender in Fort Collins, Colorado. After attending Fort Collins High School, he was proud to serve in the US Navy on the USS Borie (DD-704). He was a skilled marksman and avid collector. He enjoyed his many hobbies of hunting, boating, motorcycles and golf. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He had every tool you could ever need and the knowledge to help you fix anything.
Ron was a beloved father to Cari and Darren Rowe, Lori Niswender and Eric McVicker, Jodi and DJ Brinkley, and Bobbi and Mark Norton. He was a proud grandfather to Taylor, Trinity, Mackenna, Mason and Quinn. He was thankful every day for his partner in life, Judy Bogaard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Bernice. He is survived by his four daughters and their families; Judy and her boys; and his best friend and brother, James Neil Niswender.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at 11:15 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
