Shirley Ann Martin 76, passed away on September 17, 2020.
Shirley was born on March 29, 1944 to Laverne Goldenstein & Lois Ocker. Shirley was raised on a farm in Nebraska and showed steers. Shirley attended Venago High School in Nebraska. In 1962 she married Jim Martin.
In 1968 she and Jim moved to Longmont, Colorado from Yuma, AZ. Shirley worked as a X-ray technician for a chiropractor for 25 years and raised a family. She was a believer of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. Shirley was a member of the Senior Pro Rodeo Association as well as the Colorado Barrel Racing Association. Her hobbies were golf, barrel racing, photography and taking care of her animals. One of her most fond memories in barrel racing was in Denver, CO winning 2 saddles on 2 different horses, during the same weekend.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jim Martin of Longmont, CO. One son Shawn Martin and wife(Kim) of Ft. Lupton, CO. Two daughters Shannon Martin and partner(Jackie) of Valentine, NE, and Jimmi Jo Montera and husband(Rick) of Greeley, CO. Shirley is also survived by one brother Gerry Goldenstein and wife(Teresa), and a sister Sandy Frandsen and husband(Al). Shirley is survived by her grandchildren, Jaycee Martin; Jaymee Mesuria(Piyush), Colby Ripsam and wife(Danielle), Hannah Behunin; Garrett Ripsam, Adam(Erin) Brnak; Ashley Brnak; Anna Brnak. Great- Grandchildren, Preslee; Macklee; Gyntree; Carter; Carson; Ava; Grace; and Riley.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 9:30am at the Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville, CO 12837 WCR 32 Platteville, CO 80651.
