Child # 3 out of 5 (oldest boy):

High School Attended:  Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, OH

Graduating Year:  1972

H.S. Activities:  Cross Country Track (lettered)

Childhood Traits:  Tim played hard all day so he was notorious for falling asleep at the dinner table and then trying to get into the refrigerator thinking it was his bed.  He often fell asleep before having his share of the soda pop on “Coca-Cola night,” so he got his pop the next day and loved to drink it in front of his siblings enjoying the heck out of it.

College Attended:  Wright State University, Dayton, OH

Graduating Year:  1997                                                  Degree:  Bachelor of Science in Business

Personality Traits, hobbies, college memories:   Tim attended college part-time while employed full-time and raising a family.  It took him 12 years to graduate, which shows his perseverance and determination to get that degree.

Married:  Kathy Fedler on May 25, 1985 in Kettering OH.

Children:  2

Zachary Moorman, born November 23, 1988, now living in Boynton Beach, FL

Nicholas Moorman, born September 18, 1993, now living in Brooklyn, NY

Tim and Kathy met in 1979, when they both worked at Woolpert Consultants in Dayton, OH.  Tim often said Kathy had to move to Ohio (from Iowa) to “meet her man.”  They established many great friendships with co-workers while working at Woolpert that continue to this day.  Tim went on to work at UPS moving from a part-time pre-loader to a full-time management position.   After getting his degree, they moved to Longmont, CO where Tim worked for many years for McLane Company both in Grocery and Food Service distribution.  Tim started as a Transportation Manager, at McLane Grocery in Longmont, then after a series of moves between divisions (and a brief stint with another company eventually bought out by McLane), retired in 2016 as the General Manager at McLane Food Service in Denver.  Tim LOVED his work at McLane and was well regarded and respected by his direct reports and peers.

Tim was known to stop for a beer on his way home from work and discovered the infamous Jerry D’s in Dacono – which quickly became his home away from home.  He met many great life-long friends there while sharing a story or two.

Tim and Kathy loved supporting the Broncos and went to John Elway’s last game (Super Bowl 33) and to Payton Manning’s last game (Super Bowl 50) as well as most regular season games in between.  Tim loved going to his sons, Zach’s and Nic’s roller and ice hockey games as well, learning about and embracing the sport after both boys started playing.  He loved taking the boys skiing spending quiet times on the slopes by himself slowly skiing down, while they zoomed up and down the mountains snowboarding.   Riding up and down in the car and listening to them talk was the best part, he always thought.

Tim chose to retire at 62, and BOY did he enjoy his retirement!  Tim and Kathy bought a 1.5 AC place in Mead in 2014 so Tim could finally get a riding lawnmower and cut all the grass.  It also gave him space for his 5-7 classic cars that he loved to collect and drive around and show off in local car shows.  In later years, they bought a lake house and pontoon boat in Hartwell, GA where Tim loved to host and entertain family and friends.  Lake life was definitely for him!

Predeceased by his younger brother Mark Moorman, his father, Eugene “Moe” Moorman, mother, Myrna (Waldren) Moorman and mother-in-law, Vera (Brown) Fedler.

Survived by his wife and two sons, sisters, Cheryl (Steve) Jewett and Cinda (John) Merrill, and youngest brother, Kirk (Jennifer) Moorman, 7 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces/nephews.
Also survived by his 98 year old father-in-law, Lee Fedler, and his brother-in-law, Jon Fedler.

A Celebration of Life was held on November 4, 2023 in Mead, CO.  Another Celebration of Life will be held in Hartwell GA in the summer (exact date TBD) of 2024.
