APRIL 9, 1939 – JUNE 6, 2021

Tom Rose passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2021, in Boerne, Texas. He was born on April 9th, 1939, in Benkelman, Nebraska. He and his family moved to northern Colorado in 1948 and began farming in Berthoud, where he graduated from high school in 1956.

During that time, Tom had become active in the Church of the Nazarene. Tom enlisted in the US Air Force, serving in the Philippines and Taiwan, where he had a significant role in the second Quemoy Crisis as a communications officer. He was discharged from Kelly AFB in San Antonio and returned to the Loveland area where he bought his first Fender guitar, beginning his lifelong love for performing and singing. Tom and Ann became part of Westwind Connection, a five-piece country/western band. They also joined the Family Motor Coach Association in 1998 and spent many years camping and traveling - making many friends along the way.

Tom held several offices in the FMCA, including president of his local chapter. During their travels, they visited each of the lower 48 states and Canada. Tom is survived by his wife Ann, his daughters Shyree (Jan), Keli (Jim), Stevie (Pete), son Darrin, brother Bill, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elva May and Anna Jean, and son Tom.
