Viola E. Stevens peacefully left for heaven surrounded by her children on October 23, 2020. She was born October 14, 1935, in Eldon, IA; the daughter of Floyd and Ellen “Fern” (Harvey) Boyd. She married Doyle Morris Stevens October 9, 1955. Viola and Doyle moved the family to Longmont, Colorado, in 1973.
Viola retired from Pfizer Inc. Not one to sit still, however, she worked at JC Penney and Kmart and volunteered at the OUR Center.
She enjoyed the simple things in life; crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, and her favorite sports teams (The Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies). Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Doyle; sister Audrey Reynolds; brother Everett Boyd; and grandson Joshua Stevens.
Those left to honor her memory are her sister, Evelyn Little, her children, Brenda Macarages of Fayetteville, NC, Larry (Jill) Stevens of Beaverdam, VA; Lonnie (Kathy) Stevens of Berthoud, CO; Sharon (Tony) Molohon of Southport, NC; Darrell Stevens of Johnstown, CO; and Curtis Stevens of Frederick, CO; grandchildren Nicholas Macarages, Matthew Macarages, Brandon Stevens, Shannon Roybal, Shawn Stevens, Michele Heffernan, Jennifer Goecke, Julie Beydler, Jared Stevens, William Stark, Jamie Langley, Ryan Stark, Sheridan Stevens and Max Stevens; and 31 great grandchildren from ages 20 years to 2 months old; her caring neighbors Gary and Debbie Childress; and her constant companion, her dog Pinto.
