Virgil D. “Abe” Eberle, 86, of Fort Collins, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020. Born in Yocemento, Kansas on March 14, 1934 to Hilarius and Barbara Eberle. He married Elfrieda Ann Dreiling in 1955 in Ellis, Kansas at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Abe served for his country in the National Guard for 9 years from 1950-1959.

Abe owned and operated 2 gas stations in Hays, Kansas from 1955 to 1960 then moved his family to Fort Collins in 1959 to work for H & B Company. In 1973, he co-founded Industrial & Contractors Supply Co., after which he was able to retire for a short time. In 1983, he started a business with his son, A&D Machine Tool and Supply until 1996. He loved sales and always portrayed a positive attitude with a great sense of humor, he always had a joke to tell.

Survived are his wife of 65 years Elfrieda Eberle; children, David (Pamela) Eberle of CO, Diana (David) Jablonski of FL, and Danette Fisher of CO; grandchildren, Nicholas David (Jacqualine) Eberle, Terra Marie (Mitch) Deines, Jacob Virgil (Emily) Fisher, Luke William (Tessa) Fisher, and Sierra Belle Jablonski; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be planned at a future date.
