December 23, 1926 - December 20, 2020
Virginia Ann Haworth was born in Berthoud on July 23 1926. She lived in Berthoud her entire life. She was a “true daughter of Berthoud”.
Virginia declared many years ago, she was born in Berthoud she was going to die in Berthoud, which she did.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Grace Haworth, brother Bob Haworth, sister in law Avis Haworth and niece Corby Haworth. She is survived by niece Pat (Tim) Bena.
She delivered the Denver Post for 25 years, employing many Berthoud youth. Including the Scott boys, sons of Clarence and Ila Scott and Reverend Ray and Joyce Scott. Bob Adler was truly one of her most dedicated employees. Helping her for numerous years, even when he had outgrown a paper route. She trained her dogs to carry the papers in their mouth and deliver them to the correct door step. Her customers enjoyed receiving their papers from the dogs!
She was an avid bowler in her younger years. She spent many hours at the Sweetheart Lanes. She was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos.
She was a life long member of the Berthoud United Methodist Church. The church was a big part of her life. She was a member of PEO Chapter AS for 74 years. Just 10 days shy of 75 years.
Virginia was doing fairly well for 94 years old and being born with Cebral Palsey. Sadly COVID raised its ugly head.
A special thank you to Stu and Barbara Boyd, Tim and Joyce Patterson, Betsy Haskins and Pastor Keyongsu Jung.
Memorial contributions can be made to The Berthoud United Methodist Church OR The Berthoud Historically Society.
A memorial service is planned on for the summer of 2021.
