SEPTEMBER 20, 1946 – FEBRUARY 28, 2024

Virginia Jordanger, better known as Ginny to her family and friends, passed away in the early morning of February 28th, 2024 at Mckee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado; after facing complications from previously diagnosed Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Ginny is survived by her only son Luther Harned; her granddaughter Madysyn Harned and her great-granddaughter Elayna White.

Ginny was born in Denver, Colorado to Russell Elmer Chinn, and Bessie Lorena Copenhaver. She grew up on a farm in Mead, where her and her siblings Robert and Dorothy Chinn harvested sugar beets. In 1964 Ginny graduated from Longmont High school, and went straight into beauty school for 2 years. In 1968, she married Donald Raymond Harned and 4 years later welcomed her son Luther. In 1979 she was remarried to Alvin Jordanger.

Ginny, commonly described as a ‘character’ was layered with endless hobbies and attributes that made her so special to her family, friends and community. She was a devoted, tenured employee of Albertsons from 1986 until her retirement in 2021. With her dedication came a great deal, yet not enough PTO which she used spending time traveling the Southern Continents. Ginny was known to be very athletic. She took water aerobic classes 3-6 times a week at the Chilson Center. In 2015 became a certified instructor in water aichi. She loved to exercise using Wii Sports. She spent the last few years volunteering at the local soup kitchen. Despite her diagnosis of COPD, Ginny refused to let that hold her back. She was a well known resident of Loveland. Loved, and respected by many. Her memory shall live on through stories told by friends and family. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 3, 2024 in the Cherry Room at Chilson Center in Loveland from 11am-2pm. Flowers, donations and condolences may be sent to Luther Harned at 1476 Sunset Place Loveland, CO 80537. Memories of Ginny may be shared at www.resthavencolorado.com.
