Wendell “Wendy” James Thomas, 75, of Westminster, CO, left this world unexpectedly on December 14, 2021 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Ted, her three children Sabena Vaughan (husband Stephan Moriarty), Hillary Dyroff (husband Matt), and David Vaughan, Jr. (wife Erika); her four step-children, Roblyn Stiverson (husband Michael), Samantha Hockenbery (husband Eric), David Thomas (wife Heidi), and Jan Klassen (husband Dan), and 20 grand-children. She is also survived by her sister Leslie Isom (husband Steve), brother Thomas James, and her mother, Nancy Sparks James.

Wendy was active in her church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid flower gardener, and this was her happy place. Wendy was a great lover of animals, especially dogs.

Wendy was a kind and loving wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed cooking good food, and sharing it while entertaining large groups of friends in her home. She had a wonderful sense of humor, which was infectious and would regularly have everyone in the room laughing and in hysterics. Wendy loved to travel, and cultivated deep and caring friendships with people wherever she would go. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Ted and other friends. Wendy enjoyed taking photos of her family and friends so everyone could enjoy and reminisce about the fun times and good memories.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on December 27, 2021 at Crossroads Church, 10451 Huron Street, Northglenn, CO 80234, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to The Humane Society, https://secured.humanesociety.org/page/83122/donate/1?locale=en-US, or the charity of your choice on her behalf.
