Willard John Buskirk was born in Lincoln Nebraska to Nancy Ellen Rodgers and John Larry Buskirk (both deceased). Willard passed peacefully at Sierra Vista Memory Care in the afternoon of Friday, December 11, 2020. He was part of a large farming family and was predeceased by, and survived by, a number of siblings:

Willard leaves behind one biological son, Vernon Buskirk as well as two step children Terri Carrigan (Jeffrey McMillan) and Kevin Carrigan (Michelle), four grandchildren, Eddie (Aubrey) Cortez, Jake Carrigan, Danielle Carrigan, Zachary Carrigan as well as three great grandchildren - Leiland & Loralie Carrigan and Jayne Cortez as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.
Willard met and married Irene Segerson-Carrigan in 1974. They lived together in Southern California until Irene's passing in 1991.
Willard served in the US Army from 1957 - 1959 and was stationed in Germany. For the rest of his life this time was some of his proudest and most interesting memories.
