William “Bill” Harvey Cummings

   William “Bill” Harvey Cummings passed away November 14, 2020 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

   He was born May 1, 1948 in Casper, Wyoming to Edgar Benjamin and Ina Maude Elizabeth Hibbits Cummings.  He was the third of five children.  He grew up in Casper graduating from Natrona County High School May 31, 1966.

   Bill enlisted in the U. S. Navy October 3, 1967, during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged March 12, 1971.

   On December 22, 1971, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Cartmill in Casper, Wyoming.  They would have celebrated 49 years of marriage December 22, 2020.  Their first son, Jason Ryan, was born September 8, 1975 in Casper.  Their second son, Jeffrey William, was born August 8, 1978 in Colby, Kansas.

   Bill worked in the Oil and Gas Industry.  From 1986 to 1992, he was the Measurement Foreman for Amoco Pipeline.  Beginning in 1992 to 2002, he was the Construction Coordinator for BP Pipelines.

Because of his work in the Oil Industry, they lived in seven different states.

   Bill is survived by his wife Betty and 2 sons, Jason Ryan and wife Gina and three grandchildren – Payton, Addison and Benjamin.  His second son, Jeffrey William and wife Kendy and three grandchildren – Hudson, Nate and Eleanor.  He is also survived by two brothers, one sister, four nieces and one nephew.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, an older brother and a niece.

   A Military Memorial Service will be held November 23, 2020 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mountain View Presbyterian Church in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colorado 80537.
