NOVEMBER 16, 1938 – JULY 6, 2022
William (Bill) Hines, 83 passed away Wednesday, July 6th at his residence in Fort Collins, Colorado. Bill was born November 16th, 1938, in Russellville, Alabama to Marvin Hines and Lucille (Williams) Hines. He married Patricia (Pat) Howell at the Church of Christ in Pekin, Illinois on April 20, 1957.
Surviving are 3 children, Kevin (Emily) Hines of Avon, IN, Kim (Tim) Sullivan of Fort Collins, CO and Kirk (Shelly) Hines of Washington, IL. He also left behind 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The grandchildren include, Mike (Alyssa) Hines, Joshua (Maria) Hines, Kurt (Alexis) Heller, Scott (Sarah) Heller, Tom Chagolla, Eric (Jacqueline) Hines, Craig (Purba) Hines and Julie (Luke) Hess. Bill is also survived by one sister-in-law and many cousins, nephews and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pat and parents Marvin and Lucille Hines.
Bill worked for Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL while his children were being raised. After moving to Bedford, Texas in 1985, Bill was a document courier delivering legal and court documents. Bill loved playing golf, Alabama Football "Roll Tide", cooking and entertaining. In April, 2019 Bill and Pat had moved to Ft. Collins CO to be closer to family.
Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins, CO on Thursday, July 14th at 2:00 pm. Rev Reid Olson of Bristol Hospice will be officiating.
