My company, Longmont-based interSector Partners, L3C, exists to support the various sectors (for-profit, nonprofit and government) in working together to build stronger, healthier communities. Within these sectors are those who are on the ground making it all happen and today, my partner Rick Zwetsch and I are honored to support one of those people, Josh Goldberg, in his run for City Council.

In our work in the community, we meet and work with many business and nonprofit leaders. Among them, Josh stands out as someone who can work at the intersection of the social and business sectors without compromising the interests of either. He takes the time to learn about the issues facing our community nonprofits and the people they serve. He is actively involved in the business community. And, his work at Left Hand Brewing Foundation requires him to walk in (and find ways to support) both worlds each day.

Josh is exactly who he appears to be. His kindness, wit and enthusiasm are infectious. His ability to listen, discern and integrate a variety of opinions toward consensus is an extremely rare quality, and one that I look forward to seeing him bring to City Council.

As with the rest of Colorado, Longmont is in the midst of significant growth and change. The issues facing our community impact our lives today and will shape our future. Each of us has our own perspectives on this change based on where we live, work and experience the incredible community that we call home. I trust that Josh will honor the love each of us feels for Longmont, leverage it with his own passion for our community and make decisions that balance our need for strong business and social sectors, while always keeping the interests of individual citizens in mind.
