Many people have written letters of support for Josh Goldberg noting the
considerable depth and breadth of his experience – extensive work with
non-profits; organizer of iconic community events; years of public service
as a member of the city’s planning and zoning committee; leader within the
business community.
I, too, am enthusiastically in support of Josh’s bid for the Ward 1 council
seat. The reasons I support Josh boil down to two points that separate him
not just from other candidates but many people who have held public office
in Longmont.
Josh has fully immersed himself into the Longmont community – not just one
industry, segment or group – all of Longmont. The vastly different people
who support Josh for City Council reflect his connections and commitment. I
have not witnessed a more diverse group of supporters for one candidate.
Josh has built genuinely meaningful relationships with people from every
sector of Longmont. He knows how to rally people from diverse backgrounds
toward common goals. This approach comes naturally to Josh – it’s just his
way.
We need Josh’s approach more than ever, which brings me to my second point.
Josh is a person of the community – first and last. He is not a partisan.
He does not define himself by the political labels du jour. He is not
seeking the council seat to advance a partisan agenda. He is just a guy who
deeply cares for his community and wants to help make it a better place.
That’s the kind of person we need on council.
Josh’s vast experience makes him qualified to serve. Josh’s deep embrace
and commitment to all of Longmont sets him apart.
I hope you will join me in supporting Josh.
