Since the start of COVID-19, Medicaid has acted as a safety net for at-risk Americans to receive high-quality health care coverage. Millions of Americans have already turned to Medicaid due to the public health and economic crises, and that number is expected to continue to grow in the coming years. Congress must act now to strengthen this vital program.

More than 1 in 5 Americans are covered by Medicaid, including millions of children, older adults, people with disabilities, and veterans. Medicaid is there for our family members, friends, and neighbors when they need it most, especially as our community and nation work to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.

Without increased funding for Medicaid, hard-working Americans most at-risk could be denied access to the essential care they need and deserve. Congress must provide increased funding for the Medicaid program to ensure that the growing number of people who rely on Medicaid can continued to receive high-quality, affordable care and services.

Sincerely,
Ruby Allen
