It is my sincere pleasure to recommend Tim Waters to fill the city council
seat left vacant by the election of Brian Bagley to be Longmont’s new
mayor. I have known Tim for well over 20 years, meeting him shortly after
his arrival in Longmont following his tenure as Superintendent of Schools
for the Greeley School District. Tim fits the bill precisely for what we
need on the city council; an educated, intelligent, articulate,
compassionate, caring person who has the leadership qualities and skills we
need. He is someone who will stand up for what is right, fair and just for
all of his constituents, the citizens of Longmont.
During our over 2 decades of friendship, there have been many occasions
when I’ve had the opportunity to discuss a multitude of subjects with Tim.
I have found him to be insightful, engaging, respectful, informed, curious
and extremely thorough in his analysis and approach to problem solving.
Having personally served on the Longmont City Council back in the late
1990's, I have some idea as to what it takes to be a positive voice and
influence on the Council; Tim has what it takes.
If you can, I strongly encourage you to cast your vote for Tim Waters as
our next Ward 1 Councilman.
