Driver wanted after hitting a pedestrian

Yellow Jeep was involved in a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian

Update: The driver of the Jeep turned himself in to the Longmont Police around 3 p.m. Friday. He was arrested.

The Longmont Police are looking for the driver of a yellow Jeep Wrangler. The driver was involved in a pedestrian hit and run incident at 5:24 a.m. today at the intersection of Main Street and Ninth Avenue. 

The Jeep has only two doors with a black top and chrome wheels and the spare tire mounted on the back of the vehicle is also chrome. 

The man in the crosswalk was seriously injured and was taken to a nearby hospital.

If you can identify the owner of the vehicle and/or the driver, please call Longmont Police at 303-651-8501 and reference report #23-8518. We are also interested in surveillance video from the area. The vehicle travels south on Main to 9th, 9th to Weld County Road 1, and then south on Weld County Road 1 at Hwy 119.
