Weld County officers seek information on storage facility suspects

The suspects stole a trailer and an ATV vehicle

The Weld County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to share any information about the vehicles involved in a theft at a Weld County storage facility last week.

On Nov. 13, an employee of a storage facility located near county roads 32 and 9 1/2 arrived at work to find the chain to the fire access gate cut. The employee alerted the Weld County Sheriff's Office.

While waiting for officers to arrive, the employee searched the security camera footage to find that a white sedan and a blue SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, arrived on the property around 5:30 a.m. and left about five minutes later, according to a post from the Weld County Sheriff's office.

When the vehicles left the SUV was towing a black and gold trailer with a toolbox carrying a 2016 Polaris RZR 900 Trail with an after market trunk and rear tires, according to the post.

Anyone with information about the vehicles or the crime is asked to call Deputy Nicolas Thompson at (970) 400-4278.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is asked to call the Weld County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 356-4015 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at www.NoCoCrimeStoppers.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward.
