Voter service and polling centers across Colorado opened Monday to allow people to vote or drop off their Nov. 3 ballots in person.

“Coloradans have been incredibly engaged this election, and we expect that will continue,” Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold stated in a news release.  “This year, there are an additional 42 voting centers for the convenience of Colorado voters, for a grand total of 342 statewide.”

There are 20 voter service and polling centers in Boulder County and 14 in Weld County.

For those who prefer to vote in-person, the secretary of state issued election rules and guidance to help ensure voting in-person is as safe as possible, including personal protective equipment for poll workers and social distancing requirements, according to the release.

Voted ballots must be received by county election officials by 7 p.m. Nov. 3.  After Oct. 26, voters are encouraged to return their ballot to a drop box or voter service and polling center rather than by mail to ensure their ballots are received before the deadline.

Voters have until Oct. 26 to request a ballot be mailed to them and until Election Day to register to vote.
