Issue questions:

As the country continues to emerge from COVID-19 restrictions, what is the federal government's role in helping residents and businesses whose livelihoods and financial well-being has been impacted by the pandemic?

The federal government should not have to intervene on behalf of local municipalities and states that make poor decisions during a pandemic. However, when it does, it should treat all citizens equally and provide a stimulus package that isn't inadequate and doesn't favor corporations.

What steps do you believe federal lawmakers should take to address racial equity?

End the drug war (legalize marijuana and decriminalize all drugs). Look into providing reparations for American descendants of slaves to quell the tensions and minimize the wealth disparity.

What strategies do you believe should be employed to address the growing federal deficit?

Create opportunities for businesses and individuals to finance public projects and provide a refundable tax credit for doing so. Also providing the option for the previously mentioned groups to pay off the national debt directly with a similar refundable tax credit incentive.

What steps would you like to see the federal government take to address climate change?

I would like to see the federal government promote nuclear energy as a viable alternative energy source. This would reduce the U.S. dependence on fossil fuels. It would also allow other methods (biofuel, geothermal, etc.) to become prominent in less developed areas creating more economic opportunities for residents in those areas.
