After 15 years in operation, a Longmont book printer and its parent company have closed.

Steuben Press and parent company R&R Graphics said in an emailed automatic reply that the company would be closing its doors. The companies, which provided graphic design and book printing, pointed to supply chain disruptions as the main cause.

“It has been an amazing journey, and we are thankful for all our many loyal clients, but the past couple of years have proven too difficult to overcome,” said the email, which was signed by President and CEO Adam Ellis. “Changes to the global economy, specifically supply chain disruptions, have made it impossible for our company to continue to operate as in years past.”

The email goes on to say that customers still awaiting a job from the book printer would get a reply to the inquiries within 24 hours.

No representative of Steuben Press has responded to the Longmont Leader’s request for further comment. The websites for both companies are no longer active.

According to the company’s LinkedIn, Steuben Press employed two to 10 employees at its location in southeastern Longmont.
