The TGI Fridays in Longmont closed its doors on Tuesday along with another location in Denver. The closures left Colorado without any locations of the restaurant.
The restaurant chain stated the closures were part of an ongoing growth strategy that included closing 36 underperforming locations in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, New York, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and Connecticut. A list has yet to be released of all 36 locations.
Over 1,000 employees were offered transfer opportunities which made up more than 80% of the impacted employees, according to the company.
