Boulder County Public Health is warning people using medications and medical devices to prepare for potential power outages during this weekend’s winter storm.

With snow projected to fall at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour in Boulder County Saturday and into Sunday, the agency in a Facebook post stated residents need to talk to medical providers about a plan for refrigerated medicines and power outages that could impact medical devices that run on electricity.

“Find out now how long medication can be stored at higher temperatures and get specific guidance for any medications that are critical for life,” the post states.
