City Council Tuesday night will hold its second public hearing on Longmont’s proposed $414 million budget and go over changes to the budget since it was presented to the council on August 30.

The public hearing will include both the general budget and the proposed 2023-2027 capital improvement program.

The changes proposed include boosting funding for Longmont Public Media by $32,500, bringing its total to $305,000 in the general fund which is equivalent to 50% of the cable franchise revenue, according to the budget document.

Another $950,000 is for the creation of the Attainable Housing Fund through a transfer from the general fund, according to the budget document. An ordinance creating this new fund will come to the council for first reading on Oct. 11.
