The Boulder County Commissioners and Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience, in collaboration with other local leaders, will affirm their commitment to the rapid electrification of buildings and transportation. Please join us on Friday, Oct. 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, where guest speakers will share their expertise and personal stories.
Boulder County is taking a decisive step towards a safer, healthier future by supporting the shift away from burning fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas, in favor of cleaner energy sources for essential tasks like heating buildings and transportation.
When humans use fossil fuels, it releases pollution that raises global temperatures and contributes to unsafe air quality, both outside and indoors. This pollution is the main cause of the ongoing climate crisis, which leads to more frequent and severe storms, floods, wildfires, droughts, heatwaves, and dangerous air quality.
This gathering is open to the public. We encourage all to attend, ask questions, and learn more about how electrification is a critical component in protecting public health and solving the climate crisis. Admission to the event is free, but we request that guests register in advance.

- Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and presentations will start promptly at 10 a.m.
- Snacks will be provided. We encourage you to bring a reusable cup for hot beverages.
