Welcome back from our short Thanksgiving week break! We have a couple more weeks of Discovery Days until we take our Winter Break, so let's see what's coming up! Oh and by the way during week after next, we have a Discovery Days Late Start Day and Big Kid Ornament Making happening!
Wednesday, December 7, is a late start day for Discovery Days so bring your elementary-aged kids with you to Discovery Days!
Wednesday, December 7, is also a program separate from Discovery Days called, Big Kid Ornament Making for kids ages 5-12 with their adult. You can choose from the morning class or the after-school class and come make ornaments to keep!

About Discovery Days
- Ages 2–6 with an adult
- $4 for each child ages 2+ per member, $4.50 for each child ages 2+ per non-member
- Attend a session that fits your schedule—no registration needed
Discovery Days is an early childhood program that encourages children ages 2 to 6 and their caregivers to engage together in educational, hands-on art, music, and movement activities. When you attend Discovery Days with your child, you help them cultivate important school-readiness skills, such as language development, attention, concentration, fine motor skills, emotional regulation, and play and social abilities.
Discovery Days Music & Movement
- Tuesdays; Classroom C
- September 13–December 6
- 9–10:15 am, 10:30–11:45 am, 12:30–1:45 pm
Children and their parents and caregivers can enjoy moving to music together! Ms. Emma (and other fantastic instructors from Integral Steps) plays music, plays instruments like the flute, leads dancing and wiggling, and leads sing-a-longs!

Discovery Days Scholarships
Scholarships are available for Discovery Days thanks to support from the Dodge Family Fund and the Stewart Family Foundation!

Each child who is awarded a scholarship will receive a free 10-pass punch card to be used in Discovery Days classes. Scholarship punch cards can be issued digitally and can be renewed!

Big Kid Days
- For children up to age 11 on late start or no school days in the SVVSD. Regular fees apply.
Late Start:
- Wednesdays, September 7, November 2, and December 7, 9 am–10: 15 am
No School:
- Friday, October 14, all sessions
Fees per child: $4 member, $4.50 nonmember
10-pack punch card: $35 member, $40 nonmember
