The National Weather Service predicts an elevated risk for fire conditions tomorrow. The fire danger conditions are expected to develop over the mountain parks and portions of the Palmer Divide.

Part of the increased risk is due to the humidity levels falling between 10-15% with increasing winds through the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday is also expected to be dry, however, the fire danger is expected to decrease due to the lighter winds.

The National Weather Service expects Thursday to be the hottest and windiest day this week which could increase Red Flag conditions. Winds could gust between 25-35 mph with the minimum humidity level falling near 10%.

Red Flag warnings happen when temperatures are warm combined with very low humidities and strong winds, increasing the chances of fire danger.

While the winds on the eastern plains should be strong, the National Weather Service predicts the moisture levels in the area to be enough to limit fire dangers.
