Front Range Community College is holding its second COVID-19 vaccination event on Thursday July 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its three campuses including the Boulder County campus in Longmont.

The COVID vaccine will be available at no cost and with no copay. It will be the Pfizer vaccine and be available as a first or second vaccine.

Appointments and walks ups are both welcome, according to a Front Range news release. Participants can also register for the vaccine. The event is being held in partnership with TrueCare and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

The vaccinations will be held in the student commons area at the Boulder County Campus at 2190 Miller Drive.

Vaccinations will be held in the Longs Peak Student Center on the Larimer Campus at 4616 S. Shields Street in Fort Collins and in the Rocky Mountain Room, Entrance 3 on the Westminster Campus at 3645 W. 112th Avenue.

About 60 people registered for the COVID-19 vaccination event at Front Range on June 10, said spokeswoman Jessica Peterson.

FRCC is encouraging its students, employees and the general public to get vaccinated as a way to return to a normal campus and community life in the wake of the COVID pandemic, FRCC president Andy Dorsey said in the news release.

“We are doing our part to help improve our community vaccination rates, which will help us get back to regular classroom and campus activity sooner,” Dorsey said. “For everyone who is ready to get vaccinated, the campus vaccine clinics are a quick and easy way to protect yourself and everyone around you.”

FRCC says there are some things to remember on July 1:

Bring a photo ID
  • Wear loose clothing that will allow access to your upper arm
  • Immediately after the vaccine, you will be asked to wait for 15-30 minutes in the recovery area to ensure your health and safety.
  • Wear a mask at all times while in the testing area; no exception.

The news release also said if you are currently sick, do not come in for the vaccine, as it’s best to remain home and not expose others.
