Homeless Solutions for Boulder County, or HSBC, is holding its first community forum later this month to discuss the agency’s unique approach to tackling homelessness and to answer questions about 2020 data and information.

The online forum — “2020: A Year in Review” — will be held on Thursday, May 20 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

All interested community members are invited to attend this virtual meeting to discuss the regional work of HSBC in serving people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. The forum will include sharing trends and data about HSBC’s work in the county, according to a Boulder County news release.

HSBC staff, executive board members and community partners will respond to community questions about 2020 data and information, the news release states. “All participants will have the opportunity to discuss ideas and offer input for future consideration,” the news release states.

This community forum is the first of three HSBC forums taking place this year, the news release states.

Launched in October 2017, HSBC is an “innovative approach” to homelessness that includes multiple government entities including Boulder County and the cities of Boulder and Longmont, nonprofits working to impact homelessness and other external partners, according to HSBC’s website.

This regional integrated service system combines a coordinated entry process with the provision of timely and appropriate supportive housing services to assist people in moving out of homelessness and into housing in the most efficient ways possible, the website states.

To participate in this first virtual forum, register by May 18, 2021 through Eventbrite Registered participants will receive a meeting link and additional instructions about how to participate in the forum ahead of the May 20th meeting date.
