HOPE Expands Service in Response to COVID-19

Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020, until the end of May, 2020, HOPE will open a day shelter seven days a week.

The shelter is open to all who need food, clothing, respite, showers, charging, and/or the internet. Patrons visiting the day shelter are invited to stay up to two hours, in order to maintain social distancing and to help as many people as possible.

The day shelter will be split among two locations. On Sunday through Wednesday people are being asked to visit the Journey Church, located at 2000 Pike Rd. Unit A, from 1-5 p.m. On Thursday through Saturday visitors may seek respite at FaithPoint Church, located at 833 15th Ave., 1-5 p.m.

For those looking to support HOPE's program they are in need of the following:

  • non-perishable lunch bags (with protein)
  • plastic water bottles
  • plastic forks
  • hot meals (contact [email protected] )
  • monetary donation to help cover staffing costs
