With local and state elections just around the corner, voting officials are strongly encouraging citizens of voting age to double check their voter registration, and, if they aren't properly registered, do so soon.
In support of these efforts, the Longmont Library will be teaming up with the League of Women Voters of Boulder County to offer fast and convenient voter registration at the Library, 409 4th Avenue, on Tuesday, September 24, from 10 am to 9 pm. This will be the second National Voter Registration Day event hosted by the Library.
National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday celebrating our democracy. It was first observed in 2012 and has been growing in popularity every year since. In 2016, the last year for which data is available, over 750,000 people were registered to vote during that single day. Held on the fourth Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) and is also supported by the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED).
Join the millions of registered voters who will cast a ballot on November 5. Get into the Library. Get registered. Vote.
