"We're expecting a foot of snow or more this weekend." City Manager Harold Dominguez stated in a news release.

By closing facilities, the city hopes to keep traffic off the roads to allow our snowplows “to operate more efficiently to make roads accessible more quickly," he stated.

City facilities closed Saturday and Sunday are:

  • Recreation facilities, including the Longmont Recreation Center, Memorial Building and Centennial Pool
  • Golf courses, including Twin Peaks, Sunset and Ute Creek
  • Longmont Museum
  • Waste Diversion Center
  • Vance Brand Municipal Airport
  • Longmont Public Library (curbside service)
  • Senior Center (closed throughout pandemic)
