Longmont Code Enforcement closed until Monday after employee tests positive for coronavirus

“The building has been cleaned and sanitized (and) the closure is because the staff is currently in quarantine,” Assistant City Manager Sandi Seader said in an email.

Longmont Code Enforcement remains closed to in-person services Friday after an employee tested positive for coronavirus. The office is slated to reopen on Monday, according to the city.

“The building has been cleaned and sanitized (and) the closure is because the staff is currently in quarantine,” Assistant City Manager Sandi Seader said in an email.

“Once we learned about the positive test, we did our own contact tracing to determine who (the employee) had contact with. They did not have contact with the public, as it is a field worker, and the other employees who had contact are currently quarantining, out of an abundance of caution.”

Code enforcement complaints can be called in to 303-651-8695 (leave a detailed message) or by using the online portal, according to a city news release.

The Development Services Center, which was closed Wednesday, reopened on Thursday. That closure was because of a staffing issue, according to Seader.
