The Longmont Community Foundation (LCF) is launching a "Go Fund Me" style donation page to help support organizations in Longmont. Eric Hozempa, Executive Director of LCF said "Given the impact that all the nonprofits will be experiencing with the pandemic of Covid 19, this online resource is an essential part of Longmont's ability to support its residents and organizations."
Many of the organizations in this list rely heavily on events for their fundraising, which will be postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Hozempa "This Grants Catalog was developed in January as a way to provide a simple way for our fund holders to make grants online to various nonprofits. We always planned to share the list with the public in late March with the intent of allowing the public to support the charities listed with a credit card. The catalog allows people to get a quick idea of what amount of support an organization is looking to raise and for what purpose. They can click on the video link to get a broader sense of the organization's mission and needs."
The catalog can be accessed and organizations contributed to by going to the website at: https://longmont.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list/grant
