On Wednesday, March 11, Longmont Community Foundation announced that they are postponing their annual Live & Give Celebration due to " rapidly escalating health concerns relating to the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus)." The event was scheduled for April 1, 2020.
"The decision to postpone this gathering was not taken lightly. The health, safety and well-being of our attendees, speakers, and staff is of paramount importance. We recognize and acknowledge the inconvenience this postponement may cause," states Eric Hozempa, executive director of Longmont Community Foundation.
The Longmont Community Foundation assures the community that the grant process remains underway with decisions being made next week. Awards will be sent to directly to the recipient organizations. No disruption in the process is anticipated at this time.
"On behalf of the Longmont Community Foundation, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through our plans to reschedule this event. We look forward to seeing you later this year," states Hozempa.
