Parkes at Stonebride Townhome Owners Association Inc. filed a lawsuit on Feb. 2024 with the Boulder County District Count. The lawsuit accuses Florida-based Dream Finders Home Inc. of creating a “vast web of legal entities under the name ‘Dream Finders Homes’ to develop real estate, construct, and sell homes.”
The HOA sued the developer in 2022 for allegedly poor construction work in the neighborhood. It claims that the company is avoiding paying the settlement by establishing and using a “web of affiliated holding companies,” according to a BizWest report.
Dream Finders claimed it “was responsible for ensuring that the community was designed, constructed, and repaired without negligence, in accordance with all industry standards, in a workmanlike manner, consistent with all construction drawings and documents, and in compliance with all applicable building codes,” in the 2022 lawsuit.
