Longmont lodging occupancy just below half in January

City not far behind state occupancy, according to Rocky Mountain Lodging Report

Longmont lodging occupancy wasn’t too far behind the state in January.

According to the most recent Rocky Mountain Lodging Report from the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, 48% of room nights were occupied in Longmont compared to 55% across the state.

January’s occupancy this year was slightly lower in Longmont compared to January 2022, which saw 52.1% occupancy. The state saw occupancy increase this year compared to 51.9% in January 2022.

The average daily rate in January in Longmont was $96 a night, compared to a statewide average of $193 a night. Resort towns are a major contributor to the statewide lodging impacts right now, with resorts seeing 66% occupancy and rooms averaging $551 a night in January.

December and January tend to be the lowest occupancy months for Colorado. Average nightly rates are up for the state this year from $178.
