2021 June Show: Original Art Exhibition & Gift Shop

The Longmont Artists' Guild is thrilled to announce its biggest exhibition and art sale of the year at the Boulder County Fairgrounds from June 10 to June 13 at 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO in Barn 'A'. Member Artists have created some beautiful original art and small works for sale in the gift shop along with nearly 100 stunning original gallery pieces submitted for judging, and also for sale.

Cash prizes and ribbon awards are offered for the top three artworks in each of nine categories, plus awards for Best of Show, chosen by our judge Patti Andre, and People's Choice, chosen by the public on-site.

An in-person artist reception with an awards ceremony will celebrate the winning artists and the hard work of all the participants. 

Show hours include: 2 p.m to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 10; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 11; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 12; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 13.

Comedy Night at Abbott & Wallace | Downtown Longmont, CO

Join us for Comedy Night at Abbott & Wallace Distilling! Every Thursday night, starting at 8:00, come watch our seasoned pros and local amateur comedians bring laughter and fun right here in Longmont. 

Visit our Facebook event page for a link to reservations. We no longer charge for a table reservation, but we do encourage tipping the comedians. Suggested donation for this is $3 per person.

Bruce Cook at The Roost Rooftop, The Roost, Longmont, 11 June 2021

On Friday, June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Roost in Longmont, Bruce Cook Band will be playing live music. Bruce Cook Band offers an eclectic blend of jazz, blues, rock and funk. The Band’s lead man, Bruce Cook has been playing guitar since age 14 in California. Singer, songwriter and playing guitar, he bares his soul doing what he loves!

Movie Night at Longmont Public Media

On Friday, June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m., Longmont Public Media will bring you our first ever LPM movie night! The Princess Bride will be displayed on the big screen in our big tv studio. Join us for an evening of movies, food, and fun for everyone!

This is a free event. Snacks and waters will be provided and this event is BYOB!

Longmont Symphony Guild Garden Tour

On Friday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 515 Kimbark #105, Longmont, CO. This is the 43rd year for the Longmont Symphony Guild Garden Tour. There are four lovely gardens to view, all in east Longmont. Come and enjoy beautiful plants, and gain some gardening tips from seasoned gardeners. 

 

June 12

Frank's Ride for Children Annual Poker Run - Longmont, Colorado

The ride will begin on Saturday, June 12 at the Longmont Loyal Order of Moose Lodge at 2200 Pratt St, Longmont, CO. Registration begins at 8:00 am and a bike blessing will take place at 9:00 am. Breakfast will be available during registration for a $5.00 donation. The fee for the poker run is $20.00 per person. Online registration is available. All participants must have a photo ID. The ride will end in Erie with food, live entertainment, bike games, car and bike show, raffles and more.The poker run will benefit the Make a Wish foundation of Colorado. The Longmont Farmers Market will be open on Saturday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 9595 Nelson Rd., Longmont, CO 80501. 

Raw Honey Open Acoustic Jam

Every Saturday, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bootstrap Brewing Company in Longmont, there will be blues and jazz jam sessions with Raw Honey, led by Matthew Barham and Darren Fredric. Feel free to bring an acoustic instrument of choice and join a casual and stress-free musician's group where you can practice, share, and learn blues and jazz progressions and standards.

Root & Blume Jamboree: Spiritual, Creative, and World Wide Knit Day Fiesta

On Saturday, June 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Earth Feather Healings, 440 Main St., there will be a Pop Up with local business owners celebrating and offering their goods and magic! Vendors and offerings include Earth Feather Healings: Mini Psychic Readings by Students $20 for 20 min; OG Minerals: Rocks, Gems, and Hand Carved Goods; Yarn Shop: Celebrating World Wide Knit Day with Photo Booth; Cactus Coven: Goodies from the Earth; Jason Gallaher: Bodywork and Counseling; Pink Instincts: Build a Man Card Games; Rocky Mountain Body Magic: Massage and Herbs.

Sunday Specialty: Gentle Flow Yoga w/ Julie | Downtown Longmont, CO 

On Sunday, June 13 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Elevated Yoga Studio at 324 Main Street, there will be a gentle flow yoga class with Julie. Class is a blend of asanas (poses), pranayama (breath-work), and meditation. By setting intentions, holding postures, and inviting balance through flow sequences, you will take some of this yoga off the mat with you. Class will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual, sign up accordingly. $17 or you can use your class package!

Summer Camp: Children's Theatre Camp | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., children ages 8 to 12 can participate in Children’s Theatre Camp at the Longmont Museum. Theatre is more than just fun and games. In this immersive theatre experience, campers are introduced to everything from acting to design through games and crafts. Campers will explore the many ways theatre helps us explore and express ourselves.

Summer Camp: Dino Explorers | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., children ages 5 to 7 can participate in Dino Explorers Camp at the Longmont Museum. Do you love dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and other ‘saurs? At Dino Explorers camp, we will create dinosaur crafts, make fossils, play dino games, and hatch our own baby dinosaur “eggs”!

Summer Camp: Light it Up! Junior Engineers | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., children ages 9 to 11 can participate in Light it Up! Junior Engineers Camp at the Longmont Museum. Join us as we discover what electricity and light can do! Electricity and light will help us see like a submarine, create an infinite reflection, bounce lasers around the room and more! This camp is held online. Supply kits to use and keep will be available at the Museum for curbside pick-up. Multimedia waiver must be signed to participate.

Summer Camp: Zombie Apocalypse Training Camp | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., children ages 12 to 16 can participate in Zombie Apocalypse Training Camp at the Longmont Museum. The virus is spreading, the grid is down: how will you survive? Recruits will learn modern day survival skills, off-the-grid living techniques, light-hearted combat training, weaponry, how to build a bug-out-bag, and cardio, so you can live to fight another day. Down and dirty fun!
