The Longmont Library invites the community to a thought-provoking film screening from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 in the City Council Chambers, Civic Center, 350 Kimbark St. Longmont resident and esteemed professor Carey Candrian presents "Just Us: The Longing and Hope of LGBTQ People," a documentary weaving together the narratives of 26 individuals, primarily Coloradans, sharing their unique experiences.
The film delves into the distinctive aspects of LGBTQ lives, exploring the challenges of feeling safe and included while emphasizing the commonalities shared with their heterosexual counterparts. Professor Candrian's work provides an insightful perspective, fostering understanding and compassion within our community.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Professor Candrian during a Q&A session.
