An excited audience cheered on the new Longmont Theatre Company leadership and the LTC’s upcoming 2025-2026 season at a sold-out Saturday homecoming event for longtime supporters.
The 300-seat Longmont Performing Arts Center came alive throughout the night, applauding updates, performances, remembrances, and numerous calls for volunteer support by the LTC’s new board and executive committee.
“Tonight, as we launch our season of change, we seek your talents, your friendship, and your counsel,” said Charlie Wright, the board’s president. “As we set out to fulfill our mission and take our place in Longmont and the larger performing arts community, we invite you to take your place with us as a volunteer member.”
Rob Mess, Artistic Director, announced the first show, under the new management, of the coming new season, the Pulitzer-prize winning “You Can’t Take It With You” by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, with performance dates of Oct. 3-5, Oct. 10-12, and Oct. 17-18.
Auditions will take place Aug. 15 and 16 at the Longmont Performing Arts Center, 513 Main St. Details can be found online at https://longmonttheatre.org/
“We’re rapidly selecting and preparing the four (4) remaining shows to round out the season through spring 2026. Please stay tuned,” says Rob Mess, Artistic Director, Longmont Theatre Company.
