Longmont Public Media — a nonprofit organization that has developed a media makerspaceat 457 Fourth Ave.— plans to host a series of local political debates. Due to the rescheduling of the Longmont Chamber of Commerece’s event, Unity in the Community, LPM will reschedule two of its previously scheduled debates.
Unity in the Community was rescheduled for Oct. 6, which fell on the date LPM planned to host debates for Ward I and Ward III for Longmont City Council.
LPM will host a total of four debates, all of which will be held on Oct. 7 beginning at 1 p.m. The schedule continues as follows:
LPM Doors Open to public — 12:00 noon
Ward 1 Debate — 1:00 p.m.
Ward 3 Debate — 3:00 p.m.
At-Large Debate — 5:00 p.m.
Mayoral Debate — 7:00 pm
LPM Doors close to public — 9:00 p.m.
The Boulder County League of Women Voters is working with LPM to create these debates which will be recorded and live streamed through LPM’s website and YouTube channel.
